Chauncey Alcorn

Chauncey Alcorn is an award-winning journalist for Capital B Atlanta who is dedicated to serving his community by amplifying the voices of everyday people and holding government leaders and powerful institutions accountable. He previously covered breaking and trending news for CNN Business, the Daily Mail, Mic, Fortune and the New York Daily News among other major publications. Chauncey’s coverage of tenant abuses at a dilapidated housing complex in southwest Atlanta earned him a 2024 Anthem Award. The Ohio native has spent the last three-plus years covering elections and doing people-centered reporting on Black communities in metro Atlanta, which includes talking with hundreds of Black voters across the state about the issues important to them.
