Mc Nelly Torres

Mc Nelly Torres, an editor at the Center for Public Integrity, is an award-winning, investigative journalist based in South Florida. She has reported for newsrooms across the country, including NBC6 in Miami, South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the San Antonio Express-News and other newspapers in South Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma. In 2010, Torres co-founded the Florida Center for Investigative Reporting (FCIR.org). She was the first Latina to be elected to the boards of directors of the Investigative Reporters and Editors and the Florida Society of News Editors. She’s currently serving on the national board of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
