Neha Wadekar

Neha Wadekar is a multimedia journalist reporting across Africa and parts of the Middle East. She is passionate about covering issues that affect women and girls. Her written and video work has been published in Mother Jones magazine, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Economist, the Washington Post, and others. Neha has received fellowships from the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting, the Groundtruth Project, the Overseas Press Club, the International Women’s Media Foundation, the United Nations Foundation, and the Fuller Project. Neha has a Masters in Journalism from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Prior to her journalism career, she worked as a management consultant in Washington DC. She is a proud Boston native.
