Patricia Anstett

Patricia Anstett is a medical writer who worked 40 years in newspaper journalism in Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Detroit, her hometown. For the last 22 years of her professional newspaper career she was a medical writer for the Detroit Free Press, from which she retired in September 2011. She is the author of two books, one on patient success stories at Beaumont Health and another about breast cancer surgery and reconstruction. She has been inducted into the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame and named an outstanding alumni of Michigan State University’s College of Communication Arts & Sciences.
